Can I adjust the strap size?
Yes. Every order includes a complimentary strap adjustment tool kit to help you size your bracelet at home.
If you are unsure, we recommend visiting a local jeweller or watchmaker to avoid damaging the bracelet or screws.
What movements do you use?
We use genuine Seiko automatic movements including the NH34, NH35, NH36, NH38, NH70 and NH72.
We also use Seiko quartz chronograph movements including the VK61, VK63 and VK64.
All movements are sourced through our UK distribution arm, DHWATCHMODULE, ensuring authentic Seiko quality and reliability in every build.
Do you use genuine Seiko movements?
Yes. We use genuine Seiko TMI movements for their proven reliability, availability and long-term serviceability.
Each movement is then assembled into a custom-built watch using carefully selected aftermarket components.
Are your watches pre-built?
No. Every DHWATCHMODS watch is hand assembled to order in our London workshop.
Even if you purchase one of our pre-configured models, your watch is still individually built specifically for your order. We do not hold completed watches on the shelf.
Can I remove dial branding?
In most cases, yes — but please check with us before placing your order.
Dial branding is printed directly onto the dial, so availability depends on the specific dial or configuration selected. We’re happy to confirm what is possible before production begins.
I’d prefer a different strap, dial or configuration. Is that possible?
Yes. We can create a fully custom piece built to your exact specification.
Simply contact us by email with your desired strap, dial, case, bezel, hands, movement or finishing preferences, and we’ll explore the options with you.
We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.
Where are your watches assembled?
All DHWATCHMODS watches are built and assembled in our private workshop in London, United Kingdom.
Every order is shipped directly from the UK. Nothing is dispatched from overseas.
Are you affiliated with Seiko?
No. DHWATCHMODS is not affiliated with Seiko in any way.
Our watches are custom Seiko movement mod watches. We use genuine Seiko TMI movements for their proven quality and reliability, then assemble each watch using custom components built to order for each client.
Are the watches waterproof?
Our watches are rated at 3 ATM as standard.
This is suitable for light rain, hand washing and everyday splashes, but not swimming, diving, showering or prolonged water exposure.
Water resistance upgrades are usually available at an additional cost. Please contact us before placing your order if you require upgraded water resistance.
Do you pressure test every watch?
Yes. Every watch undergoes quality control before dispatch, including movement regulation, functional testing and pressure testing before leaving our workshop.
Please note that pressure testing does not mean the watch should be used for swimming, showering, saunas or prolonged water exposure unless an appropriate upgrade has been discussed and confirmed.
Shipping
Delivery, tracking and international customs information.
What are your shipping times?
We typically require around 7 to 12 working days to assemble your watch before dispatch.
Our average assembly time is approximately 8 working days, although this may vary during busier periods.
Please note that assembly time and shipping time are separate. The courier delivery time begins after your watch has been completed and dispatched.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes. We ship internationally to over 100 destinations worldwide.
Delivery times vary depending on the destination country, and available shipping options will be shown at checkout.
Will I need to pay import taxes?
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT or handling fees charged by the destination country.
These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the product price or shipping cost at checkout.
How can I track my order?
Once your watch has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking details.
This allows you to monitor your order while it is on its way to you.

Why haven’t I received an update on my order?
This is our most frequently asked question.
Every DHWATCHMODS watch is built entirely by hand to order — including watches purchased from our pre-configured collections.
Although some models appear as ready-made designs, they are still individually assembled specifically for your order.
Once your order is placed, you will immediately receive an order confirmation email. Your watch will then enter our production queue, where it will be hand assembled, regulated, quality checked and pressure tested before dispatch.
During this stage, you will not usually receive additional updates unless we need to contact you regarding your order.
Our average assembly time is around 8 working days, although we advise allowing 7 to 12 working days during busy periods.
Once your watch has been completed, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information.
Please note that assembly time and shipping time are separate. The 7 to 12 working day build time does not include courier delivery time.
Where is my order confirmation?
Your order confirmation is automatically sent to the email address used at checkout as soon as your order is placed.
If you cannot find your confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folder. If it is still missing, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Can I make changes after ordering?
Changes may only be possible if production has not yet begun.
If you need to request a change, please contact us immediately after placing your order. Once parts have been ordered, prepared or assembly has begun, changes may no longer be possible.
Can I cancel my order?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cancellations once an order has been placed.
Many of our watches are custom-built to order and enter the assembly or parts-ordering process shortly after purchase.
Due to the bespoke nature of our products, cancellations or changes are not possible once production has begun.
Can I exchange or return my watch?
We are unable to offer exchanges, as each watch is individually custom-built to your selected specifications.
Once assembled, the watch cannot be resold or repurposed for another client.
For this reason, all sales are final once production has begun.
Aftercare
Common questions after receiving your watch.
Why has my automatic watch stopped?
Automatic watches are powered by movement and stored mainspring energy.
If the watch has not been worn for an extended period, it may stop once the power reserve has been depleted.
To restart it, unscrew the crown if applicable, then wind the crown clockwise approximately 30 to 55 turns before setting the time.
Will my automatic watch gain or lose time?
Yes. Mechanical watches are not quartz watches and naturally vary slightly in accuracy.
Small daily variations are completely normal and are part of owning a mechanical movement.
Why isn’t the large seconds hand moving on my Daytona-style chronograph?
On VK chronograph models, the large central seconds hand is the chronograph stopwatch hand, not the running seconds hand.
Your normal running seconds are shown on the 6 o’clock sub-dial.
The large central hand will only move when the chronograph is started using the upper pusher.
Can I swim with my watch?
We do not recommend swimming, showering, sauna use, steam rooms or prolonged water exposure with any standard 3 ATM watch.
