For standard automatic date models such as SeikoJust, Santeiko, Nautiko & Aqua.
Crown Positions
Position 0: Manual winding.
Position 1: Quick-set date. Do not use between 9 PM and 3 AM.
Position 2: Time adjustment with hacking seconds.
Manual Winding
With the crown fully pushed in, rotate clockwise approximately 30 to 55 turns.
The NH-series movement cannot be overwound due to its built-in slipping mainspring system.
Setting the Date
- Unscrew the crown.
- Pull to Position 2 and move the hands to approximately 6:00.
- Return to Position 1.
- Adjust the date.
- Pull back to Position 2 and set the correct time.
- Screw the crown fully back down.
Never quick-set the date between 9 PM and 3 AM.
NH34 GMT Operating Guide
For GMT models with a 24-hour GMT hand.
Crown Positions
Position 0: Manual winding.
Position 1: One direction adjusts the GMT hand, the opposite direction adjusts the date.
Position 2: Main time adjustment.
Setting Your GMT Watch
- Unscrew the crown.
- Pull to Position 2.
- Move the hands to approximately 6:00 AM or PM.
- Return to Position 1.
- Set the GMT hand and date.
- Pull back to Position 2.
- Set your local time.
- Screw the crown fully back down.
GMT Hand Explained
The GMT hand completes one full rotation every 24 hours, allowing you to track a second time zone.
You can also rotate the bezel to track a third time zone.
Always move the hands to 6:00 before adjusting the date or GMT hand.
VK63 Chronograph Operating Guide
For Seitona-style chronograph models.
Important First Note
The large central seconds hand is not the running seconds hand.
It is the chronograph stopwatch hand. Your running seconds are shown on the 6 o’clock sub-dial.
Pushers
Upper Pusher A: Starts and stops the chronograph.
Lower Pusher B: Resets the chronograph.
Always stop the chronograph before pressing reset.
Sub-Dials
6 o’clock: Running seconds.
9 o’clock: Chronograph minute counter.
3 o’clock: 24-hour AM/PM indicator.
Using the Stopwatch
- Unscrew the pushers if fitted.
- Press Pusher A to start timing.
- Press Pusher A again to stop timing.
- Press Pusher B to reset.
- Tighten the pushers once finished.
Bracelet & Clasp Guide
Oyster & Jubilee Bracelets
Lift the small safety latch first, then open the main clasp.
Open gently to avoid damaging the internal spring mechanism.
Micro-Adjustment
Oyster and Jubilee bracelets include internal micro-adjustment. Handy for travel to hot countries where you wrist can swell and you need a slight microadjustment. Unclip the bracelet inside the clasp, slide to the desired position, then click it securely back into place.
Oysterflex & President Clasps
Oysterflex straps use different fixing positions inside the clasp but do not have the same micro-adjustment system.
President bracelets use a concealed clasp. Pull firmly between the bracelet and clasp to open.
General Watch Care
Always screw the crown fully down after setting the time or date.
Avoid swimming (unless upgraded), showering, saunas, steam rooms and prolonged water exposure.
Keep away from perfumes, lotions, cleaning sprays, detergents and solvents.
Store in a cool, dry place, ideally inside your DHWATCHMODS box.
Avoid drops, knocks, speakers, laptops, wireless chargers and strong magnets.
We recommend servicing every 3 to 5 years, or replacing NH-series movements when required.
Warranty Notice
Damage caused by incorrect date-setting, water exposure, unsecured crowns, impact, magnetism, chemicals, customer misuse or accidental damage is not covered under warranty.
A complimentary screwdriver may be included for minor bracelet adjustments. Use is at the customer’s own discretion and risk. If unsure, please visit a professional jeweller or watchmaker.
